About this apartment rental
Although Rerik is only small together with the connected towns and a total of almost 2,400 inhabitants, it offers many opportunities for leisure activities. The mixture of Salzhaff, Baltic Sea and quiet beautiful surroundings is just as interesting for hikers and cyclists as it is for sailors, surfers and anglers. Directly in front of the apartment Am Salzhaff is the jetty for the passenger ship MS Ostseebad Rerik, which offers interesting trips through the Salzhaff along the Wustrow peninsula, among other places. For children there are events, the adventure playground on the lagoon and of course the beach. The St. John's Church from 1250 in the middle of the village is a sight, but also the fishing boats in the harbor and the 170 m long pier, from which you can watch the sunset as well as from the Schmiedeberg, the remains of an old castle wall. In Rerik you can rent bicycles to explore the old lighthouse or the large graves in the surrounding area, for example. In Stove there is a farmer's museum and an old mill, which is still in operation and supplies flour for the museum's old oven - be sure to buy one of the breads and eat it with smoked fish! The candle barn in Bartenshagen or the Bastorf estate with the farm shop are also experiences for young and old.
Visits to Bad Doberan with its magnificent cathedral and many historic buildings, Kühlungsborn with its colourful hustle and bustle and Rostock or Wismar are quickly possible, but more distant destinations are also easily accessible through the nearby A 20 motorway and Schwerin with the castle and the Federal Garden Show is always worth a visit. The island of Poel offers wonderfully wide and flat beaches for walking and the picturesque main town of Kirchdorf.
From Kühlungsborn you can explore the Baltic Sea resorts in a wonderful way with the Molli Bäderbahn to Bad Doberan.

Am Salzhaff B3:
What you don't have in Rerik are large hotels and mass tourism - and that's a good thing. You can reach all destinations on foot, you can hike along the Salzhaff, sit at the harbour, rent one of the approx. 50 beach chairs next to the pier, you will never be swallowed up by crowds like in other seaside resorts.
Arrival is possible from 16:00 to 19:00 and departure from 02:00 to 10:00.
