Casitas Batsú features two beautiful, brand-new, fully equipped, and independent houses: Casita Batsú Esmeralda and Casita Batsú Talamanca. Each accommodates 3 guests.

Both feature fiber-optic Wi-Fi, a king-size bedroom, a single bedroom, a kitchen, a terrace, and a private garden area. They can be rented individually or together, allowing you to enjoy the entire property.

At Casitas Batsú, you’ll have an immersive experience in the tropical jungle without sacrificing any comfort. You’ll wake up every morning to the ritual song of the howler monkey, be visited by toucans, and, if you’re lucky, get to see sloths up close. Batsú means “hummingbird” in the BriBri language—another of the beautiful creatures that frequently visit our garden.

Our two casitas are ideal for singles, couples, groups of friends, or families who appreciate the comfort of a fully furnished home rather than a hotel room, as well as the cultural experience of living in a real, local neighborhood surrounded by locals living to the rhythm of the Costa Rican “Pura Vida.”

Playa Chiquita is a safe and idyllic beach town 7 km south of Puerto Viejo. It is strategically located on one of the most picturesque stretches of Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast.

You’ll be just a few minutes away from idyllic beaches, a well-stocked grocery store (El Duende Gourmet), great restaurants, organic and artisanal shops, a bike rental shop, a couple of yoga studios, several massage centers, and a bus stop with direct service to San José, Limón, Puerto Viejo, and Manzanillo.

This location is perfect for travelers who want to explore the area’s stunning natural beauty, work remotely, surf, immerse themselves in the local culture, or simply relax on the magnificent nearby beaches.

ADDITIONAL RULES:

•⁠ ⁠Please avoid loud noises after 9:30 pm.
•⁠ ⁠Smoking is not allowed inside the houses; if you are going to smoke, please do so outside and dispose of cigarette butts in the ashtrays provided for this purpose.
•⁠ ⁠When you leave the house, we recommend that you leave the keys in the combination lockboxes provided for this purpose. ⁠Lost keys will cost $25.
•⁠ White towels are for exclusive use in indoor showers. Colored towels are for the beach.
•⁠ ⁠Our furniture was chosen and crafted with love; we ask that you take good care of it.
• For your comfort, please avoid sitting on outdoor cushions or hammocks while wearing wet clothes. Remember that you are in the Caribbean, where humidity is high. Everything takes a long time to dry!

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO BRING YOUR PET: Regarding pets, we may consider allowing dogs, but unfortunately we cannot accept cats, reptiles, or other animals. It can be a real problem for them. For dogs, you must pay an additional deposit of $150.. They are not allowed to climb on beds, armchairs, or hammocks, or be left alone on the property.
