Nice town.

The property is in a quiet location and easy to park. It is a 10 min walk to the beach and shops. Wimereux is a sweet town. We arrived early for our stay and were helpfully allowed access to the property earlier than check-in time.

We previously stayed in 2024 and liked the property so we booked it again for 2025. However, when arriving in June 2025, there were only 8 sheets of toilet paper left between both toilets (for 2 adults and 1 child) which would be a disaster if you arrived after the shops had closed. The toilet seat in the downstairs was broken, not a single dishwater tablet left and a hastily hand written sign informing us the wood burner was forbidden which could have been conveyed in a more friendly way. There was a booklet left on the kitchen island from the managing agent informing us of the fines for not complying with house rules including €10 for not emptying the dishwasher, €25 for not emptying the bins etc. The property itself is nice but I feel the managing agent is letting it down by cost cutting.

RH in guter Lage mit vielen kleinen Mängeln

Das Reihenhaus hat eine gute Lage, ruhig, in einer Wohnstraße und nur 5-10 Minuten zu Fuß an den Strand und in die Geschäftsstraße.

Leider hatte das Haus diverse kleine Mängel (defekter Rolladen zur Terrasse, kaputtes Licht in der Küche/Terrasse, quietschende Treppe…), die man leicht hätte abstellen können und die auch schon als Mangel in vorherigen Bewertungen erwähnt wurden. Desweiteren waren die Terrasse und auch der Eingangsbereich vor dem Haus ungepflegt. Das Sofa war durchgesessen und teilweise kaputt. Eine Info zur Müllabfuhr war nicht vorhanden, sodass die Tonnen voll waren und leider auch falsch befüllt, dass haben wir dann umsortiert und uns für die Abfuhr an den Nachbarn orientiert. Durch vorgenannte Umstände war das Haus im Vergleich zu anderen Häusern, die wir in den letzten Jahren in Frankreich gemietet haben deutlich zu teuer.

Bouwoverlast verknoeit de vakantie

De locatie van het huis, dichtbij winkels en strand

Tijdens ons verblijf werden het huis naast ons en een huis iets verder op totaal gerenoveerd. We hebben 9 dagen ernstige geluids- en stofoverlast gehad van betonmolens en haakse slijpers; de privacy was ver te zoeken doordat de bouwvakkers op steigers neerkeken in onze tuin en in onze WC. Het beheer van het huis is in handen van makelaarskantoor Conciergerie, die blijkbaar niets controleert/niets doorgeeft aan de eigenaresse Marie, want het huis stond bij onze aankomst al in de steigers en had in deze situatie niet verhuurd mogen worden. De keuken was zeer compleet, de decoratie van het huis smaakvol maar: 3 volle afvalcontainers voor het huis, een kapot zonnescherm, wc brillen die loszitten, oncomfortabele bedden en een doorgezakte bank: prijs en kwaliteit zijn niet in overeenstemming. Het contact met Marie over onze klachten verliep goed, we hebben 20% van de huurprijs terug gekregen, maar als we dit van te voren hadden geweten hadden we dit huis nooit gehuurd.
