Joji and Alisi Place

Food was great and the people were beyond welcoming. I dive, so it was very convenient. If you are looking to experience Fijian village community, this is the place. There are opportunities to rent SUPs and kayaks as well.

Nothing, as long as you are prepared for a humble but clean shared space.

By far the best time we had in Fiji was spent at Joji and Alisi's! Alisi's cooking is to die for and the local village experience was amazing! We dove with them for multiple days and saw some of the best reef in the world! 10/10 if you come to fiji come stay and dive with them (Ring Gold Divers) 🪸🫧🐠

This is an excellent gem if you are looking for a unique experience. A village homestay that feels more like a visit to friend than a guest house. The place is clean, very accessible - just off the King's road - and the homely ambiance is soothing. Joji and Alisi are exceptional hosts who will ensure you are comfortable. Located a village, you need to make the ritual visit to the chief for a brief welcome. The host family all chip in to make the guests comfortable. Joji is a good storyteller and will keep you entertained around the Kava bowl if you are so inclined. Alisi is a great chef and her homecooked meals are delicious and tastefully presented. There is an extra charge for meals if you eat at the facility. This would be a great location for those travelling with family as there is a whole house on site, as well as friendly kids from the neighbourhood to keep your young ones active and engaged while you unwind.

For those that take up rooms in the main house, the location of the shared bathroom might be a challenge depending on your cultural views on matters bathroom. It is at the end of the verandah and if you are going for a shower or to conduct business you have to pass across the seating area.

- Man muss sich einfach bewusst sein, dass man dem Dorfhäuptling noch Kava bringen muss (20 FJD pro Gruppe). Das ist nichts schlechtes, man muss sich dass beim Buchen vormerken.
