Nannerls Penthouse

This gem of a place was directly in the center of St Gilgen. The Christmas market was right outside our door. The space itself was delightful in every way....clean, spacious and decorated with great care and taste in old Austrian style and added modern amenities. Our host was awesome and helpful. The views were wonderful. We got to watch the sun rise from the balcony. What was not to like?!? Nothing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our five-day stay in the Penthouse. The location is perfect: we took the bus from Salzburg and the walk to the apartment was short and easy, even with luggage. The apartment is large, well furnished with many antiques, and the kitchen is well-equipped. (There is a Spar within an easy walking distance of about 10 minutes with everything from toiletries to a cheese and meat counter and small bakery.) The photos in the booking.com listing are accurate – each window has a different view of beautiful Sankt Gilgen, with the best view being from the balcony and dining area. Michael is a super host and prompt communicator. Best cakes ever in Nannerls’ Café!

Do bring ear plugs. The church bells ring often and are loud.
