The novelty
It was too far out of town to easily walk. It wasn’t as clean as we would expect. The area round the hut is scruffy with large weeds, some litter and a broken fence. Not having a freezer compartment in the fridge is irritating.

Lovely clean, cosy hut, and very peaceful.
The WiFi didn’t work and I had to remove quite a lot of hair from the drain in the shower as it was blocked. Also the quooker tap didn’t work. It didn’t spoil our stay though ☺️

We had a wonderful stay at the shepherd's hut. The location is fantastic - surrounded by lots of greenery and peaceful. We happened to visit during a very hot spell, so having access to the park's swimming pool was the perfect way to cool down! Inside, the hut was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed. It’s a great, clever use of a smaller space and very comfortable.
A couple of things could be improved: the Wi-Fi signal was quite weak and unreliable, and the setup is only semi-private (it could really do with a thicker boundary fence and some privacy screening between the individual huts). Also, the BBQ was dirty when we arrived.
