About this house rental

Summary:
This property is located in central Stokesley, right on the high street. Sleeping up to 4 guests across two bedrooms, this house is perfect for families and groups of friends looking for a pleasant break in the heart of North Yorkshire. You’re ideally located to explore the North Yorkshire moors, as well as having quick access to local towns and villages.

The Space:
This lovely 2 bed house is located directly on the high street with lots of bistro's, bars, pubs and restaurants around it. It's lovely and cosy inside with exciting decor. It has a large stand in shower and toilet and sink in the same room. The main bedroom is large and has internal wardrobes, bedside table, chest of draws and a double bed. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, wardrobe and bedside table. The kitchen is a good space to prep food and is fully equipped. The living room is a lounge diner and is great for entertaining.

The Neighborhood:
This pretty town is well known for its Friday food, flower and craft markets, and farmers' markets on the first Saturday of each month. Stokesley Agricultural Show is held every year on the third Saturday in September, attracting visitors from all over the country. With everything from dog shows to handicrafts and delicious local delicacies on offer, it's well worth a visit. Stroll to the east end of the town for a spectacular view of Roseberry Topping and the North York Moors, and admire the ancient mill wheel that resides there. Then, just a few yards away, discover a panorama of buildings and open spaces as you enter the town centre. From here, you can explore Stokesley Manor House at the eastern end of Market Square, and discover the Church of St Peter and Paul, with its famous mouse woodwork carved by the "Mouseman" of Kilburn! Many quality independent shops create a friendly lively experience for those who regularly visit the town or for newcomers seeing what is on offer for the very first time.

A Wonderful Home From Home Weekend in StocksleyAs soon as we arrived on Friday, the house instantly felt like a home from home. It was lovely, spotless, tidy, and really well set out. The location couldn’t have been better!! Central to everything we needed, easy to find, and with very handy parking right outside.Vicky was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout our stay, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing long weekend. The beds were unbelievably comfy, and the whole place felt warm and welcoming. If we were staying longer, the only tiny suggestion would be a couple of extra kitchen essentials, like scissors, egg cups or some small ramekins for dips and chutneys, but that’s honestly us being very picky!We also loved exploring the local area and trying out some of the nearby places to eat. When we arrived on Friday, we grabbed fish & chips from Bassletons Fish Bar but don’t be fooled by the outside, because they were so good! On Saturday night, we weren’t very hungry, so we popped into Uno Momento Italian for just starters, and the staff were lovely and the food was delicious. We even got chatting to a lovely lady called Jess, who manages both Il Mulino and The Mill. On Sunday we had the most amazing Sunday dinner at Il MulinoThe local butchers were also fantastic, with a great variety of options perfect if you want to stay in and cook.Overall, we had a brilliant stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended!
