Discover the beauty of Wrightsville Beach from this welcoming 3-bedroom cottage. Step inside and feel instantly at home in this awesome property. With 2 queen beds and 1 full bed, it's perfect for a superb getaway with friends or family. Located in the sought after south end of Wrightsville Beach, the cottage, built in 1947, is a good representation of old Wrightsville of yesteryear. The house sits amongst beautiful custom homes yet has a very laid back vibe on the south end just across the street from the beach. It is steps away from public beach access ‘41’ and a quick walk to the lazy beaches of Banks Channel. This unit has been completely renovated and is the perfect base camp for a memorable beach vacation.
Welcome to The Prickly Pear Cottage Upper Unit, named after the native cactus that inhabits the beautiful barrier islands of this part of North Carolina and is easily visible at the beaches across the street. It is the upper level unit of a duplex cottage, and it is steps away from public beach access '40' & '41'. In the other direction and easy walk lies the Oceanic Restaurant & Bar, Sundays Cafe/Bakery Shop, and South End Surf Shop. On many mornings and evenings, you can hear the sound of the ocean waves as you enjoy the beach breeze with a cup of coffee or a cocktail on the porch rockers. This unit, with the original yellow pine hardwood floors throughout, has been completely renovated with a brand new kitchen and updated bathroom. The home was carefully restored in a manner to reflect the historic nature of this beach cottage as one of the first of its kind on the south end of Wrightsville Beach Island. We loved the cottage - inviting, comfortable, and spotless!Beds quite comfortable and porch the best! Spent many morning and evening hours there.Everything was wonderful so no complaints at all. A suggestion that it would be nice to have one more bathroom, although the outside shower was helpful. A great stay ad would book again!
