Gaston Getaway- Location, Lake, Fun & Firepit!

This home is as advertised with a twist of a modern style home and the back yard gives you a sense of camping in a rustic cabin. Grocery stores and several restaurants nearby. We stayed 4 nights and the host was in touch and on target. Unfortunately, we got rained out, but we would return again with hopes of better weather. Nature is always in charge. Thank you.

This property is beautiful, serene and in a quiet neighborhood. The home is lovely and exactly as pictured on the website with lovely amenities. Our host was kind and helpful. My husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary here and we enjoyed having our family visit for a day. We also had our pup, Toby and the fenced in part of the yard was perfect for him. The parking area easily accommodated our Ranger boat and the boat ramp is just down the street. We were also close to restaurants, a grocery store, and a pharmacy so we had everything we needed here. Our family looks forward to returning to this property again for another celebration.

This place was very nice. Clean, nice host and great location. We would stay there again.

The good: nice house, super clean upon arrival. It's convenient to a grocery store and a coffee shop, which is always nice! There was a fire pit with plenty of wood, but we didn't get a chance to use it. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap were all provided in the bathroom The not-quite-as-good: the mattress (at least in my room) was very firm, so if you prefer a fluffier mattress you may be disappointed. It would have been nice to have a few extra bath towels. We literally had one per room and didn't see extras anywhere in the house. Admittedly I could have reached out to ask the owner, but it wasn't a huge deal for us so I didn't worry about it. Just something to be aware of. The furniture in the living room is nice but not super comfy if you're planning to lounge around. Also would have liked more / fluffier pillows, but that's a personal preference. All in all, a nice stay at a good price! I'd stay again, and would plan to bring my pillows from home!
