Casetta al Molo di Mondello by Wonderful Italy

This 1st floor appartment is based in the Piazza Mondello near the harbour area. Its in a old italian building with high ceilings but has been well modernised inside with a living room and balcony at the front, a large bedroom at the back plus a small shower room and a small kitchen. There is a choice of several fairly average restaurants locally, a lot of them are seafood based. The food served by the small steak house 2 doors away with a butchers display inside is absolutely exceptional. The 806 bus runs very frequently into Palermo and there is a connecting airport shuttle bus service from Palermo.

Mondello is very much Palermo's beach resort and is very popular with youngsters so expect a lot of scooters in late afternoons and the evening. Some of the local youth also have a habit of driving around playing music at a zillion decibels in late afternoon and evenings up til about 9pm. Piazza Mondello could do with a bit of a facelift.
