Location is very good, easy to access city and airport by LH bus. Suite is specious.

For the last two nights hot water was gone.

The experience at this apartment is an example of what a good apartment rental should be. The apartment was very spacious and well-decorated, situated in a quiet residential neighborhood but still easy to access other parts of the city via public transportation. The host was attentive and responded quickly to questions via WhatsApp, also promised to be on site if necessary (but it was not necessary). The kitchen is massive by European standards, with an enormous television both there and in the sitting room. The refrigerator is generously sized and quite cold. The bathroom is not extremely spacious but larger than many in Europe, and the shower itself is comfortably large with a wide windowsill to place shower items. The washing machine is in the bathroom. There are balconies on both the front and the back, the one in the back with a nice garden view. Not far away one can find a little market on Fritz Homme Weg to the north, which is also situated near Edeka for your grocery needs. One tip, to find Edeka the entrance is Theodor Dombart Strasse. Another tip, one can find cold beer for sale at the Shell station on Ungererstrasse which is open on Sundays. The apartment is within a kilometer of the English Garden to the east and Ubahn stops to the west. With a transit day pass, one can easily reach just about any part of central Munich including Altstadt, Nymphenburg, or Olympiapark. If you have a car, there is paid street parking which is most easily accessed with the HandyPark München app. The host told me there is also free parking at the public swimming pool Ungererbad to the west, but I did not test this out.

Unfortunately, the automatic blind in the kitchen was malfunctional and would not close, presenting a minor privacy issue as there are apartments across the courtyard. This is just something that happens sometimes, and no apartment I've stayed in was ever completely perfect. The host was very responsive and had already planned to fix it, but this was scheduled after my stay. Fortunately, there are doors on the kitchen and the other rooms, so I could close the door when I wanted privacy in the other parts of the apartment. Another minor issue is I expected an on-site parking place when booking, but the parking solution is to park at the swimming pool a few blocks away. This was not a big problem for me, because street parking is not very difficult, although it is not free and a space is not guaranteed. Travelers arriving by car should take this into account. One more critique which is not specifically about this property but Europe in general is some minor inconvenience as a byproduct of environmentalism. When I tried to use the washing machine there was an error, and it turns out someone had turned off the water supply. When encountering any kind of issue such as this, consider whether reversable interruptions in electricity or water are causing the problem. The apartment requires nonrefundable prepayment, so be sure of your plans.

The location is lovely and quiet. Tree lined streets, a quick walk to the underground train, and not far from the city center (about 10 minutes by train). There is construction going on in between the buildings.

It was advertised to have air conditioning, but it really doesn’t. When I reached out about it, the owner brought a fan, and was getting us a portable AC unit, but it never came. Some of the furnishings and interior could have been in better shape. The kitchen and bathroom were both updated and decent. We lost power to part of the apartment on our last night due to storms, and the elevator wasn’t working after the first day.
