Aesthete Villas

Wat een onwijs fijn huis! Ruime en nette kamers en alles wat je nodig hebt is in het huis. De tuin was fantastisch. Het zwembad was heerlijk en verfrissend! Onze host George konden we altijd een berichtje sturen als we vragen hadden of een taxi nodig hadden. Rethyminon is 10 minuten rijden met de auto. Bij aankomst werden we ook opgewacht door George. Er lag al heerlijke fruit en groente in het huis van de groente tuin!!

We are extremely satisfied with our stay at Aetstete Villas in Gallou. The villa is exceptionally well-equipped, providing everything needed for a comfortable holiday. Cleanliness is kept at the highest level – the private pool was meticulously cleaned every single day, and we really appreciated that absolutely every room is fully air-conditioned. The property offers stunning sunset views directly from the balcony, the terrace, and the pool area. ​However, what truly makes this place stand out is the host. We received a wonderful, warm welcome with a large bowl of fresh fruits and vegetables. The absolute highlight of our stay was the host's private garden, which is openly available to guests at any time. Being able to step out and pick fresh, sun-ripened tomatoes and sweet strawberries straight from the bush was an amazing and authentic experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a perfect stay in Crete!

The only minor downside is that the villa is located a bit farther from the sea. However, we were fully aware of the location before booking, so it wasn't a surprise.

We loved everything about the property. It was perfect in every way. Spotlessly clean, modern, excellent air con in every room and the pool was incredible. The location is so peaceful with a cafe, taverna and a shop within a 5 minute walk. Rethymno was about a 8 min drive but we did walk there on a couple of evenings as it was all downhill (got the taxi back!) George was the best host. Met us in the early hours and had stocked the villa with wine, fruits, breads, juice and water. He was at the end of his phone and would promptly answer any questions or arrange taxis. Just a super lovely guy. We will most definitely return. Oh, and the sunset! You can see mountains and sea from the balcony and the sunset is incredible!
