The host sent us the code to access the apartment by email. It turned out to be the code to a completely different apartment that he owned in a different city, so it did not work and we could not enter. We were left stranded in the street at night - we called and messaged multiple times to no response. We managed to enter after some time by guessing (!) the correct code. The host only answered in the morning the next day. He promised to reimburse us but then ghosted us after multiple attempts to contact him - we had to open a dispute with booking to get the money back. When contacted by booking, the host contested our claim despite us sending screenshots of the messages he sent us. Got our money back in the end but with a lot of unnecessary effort.
