About this house rental
Fjordhytte-23 is the red one of the two vacation homes in Bjordal, located right on the Sognefjord. Both homes are available for rent to vacationers. You can find the yellow neighboring home listed as Fjordhytte-16 on our website. Spend a fantastic vacation here and enjoy the magnificent natural surroundings. In keeping with local tradition, the interior features plenty of wood, creating a warm, comfortable, and cozy atmosphere. An open kitchen is perfect for preparing fish—often freshly caught—and offers a stunning view of the fjord. The adjoining dining table provides plenty of space for six people to dine. The living room also invites you to relax and spend cozy hours here. The vacation home features two bathrooms, each with a toilet, sink, and shower. Inside, you’ll find four bedrooms, providing plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the vacation together. Some of the interior photos are from the neighboring house, which is identical in design. The photos differ in detail.
Experience Norway up close at this spot right on the fjord—go fishing from the dock or the motorboat available for rent—the owner will be happy to give you some great fishing tips. Enjoy nature, relax, and recharge your batteries for the rest of the year.
The vacation home is centrally located and serves as a great starting point for fishing on the fjord, hiking in the mountains, and sightseeing at many of the impressive attractions in the Sogn og Fjordane region. Check out the description of our activities—you can get an immediate sense of some of the many attractions in the area.
The mighty and extremely deep Sognefjord is known far beyond its borders for its numerous attractions and is sure to offer you unforgettable experiences and moments as well. The Jotunheimen National Park is always worth a visit, offering extensive hiking trails and beautiful views of nature.

• Electricity is billed separately at approximately 50 cents per kilowatt-hour or NOK 5,0 per kilowatt-hour; payment is due on site in Norwegian kroner to the owner based on actual usage.

• However, bed linens and towels can be booked.

• 1 motorboat with a 9.9/15 PS gasoline engine: EUR 150 per week per boat; EUR 260 per boat for 2 weeks.
• 1 motorboat with a 30 PS gasoline engine: EUR 370.- per week per boat; 2 weeks: EUR 700.-
• 1 motorboat with a 40 PS gasoline engine: EUR 420.- per week per boat; 2 weeks: EUR 800.-
• 1 motorboat with a 60 PS gasoline engine: EUR 470 per week per boat; 2 weeks: EUR 900
• Please reserve the above services from the owner in advance; payment is due on site in Norwegian kroner, in cash, directly to the owner
• Only one of each motorboat is available. If the desired motorboat is not available during your stay, you may need to switch to a different motorboat.

Fishing
The owner of this vacation home is an angler himself and therefore knows the area very well. Upon request, you’re welcome to receive information about good fishing spots. We visited the cottages in 2017, and guests caught a great many large fish. The following fish can be caught in the fjord near this vacation home: pollock, hake, mackerel, tusk, and ling, to name just a few. In Ortnevik, about 10 km from the vacation home, there is a river that runs with salmon.
New fishing regulations for tourism in Norway: This cabin, FH-23, along with the neighboring vacation homes, FH-16 and FH-17, are registered as specialized tourism fishing operations; therefore, guests are permitted to export fish from Norway. Fishing in the fjord is generally free of charge.
Motorboat
You can rent one or, if desired, several motorboats at the vacation home on a daily or weekly basis. Reserve your motorboat when you book the vacation home, or feel free to rent it on-site. The cost of renting a motorboat is not included in the vacation home rental price. If you’d like to rent one of the motorboats, you’ll receive a briefing on how to operate it upon your arrival.
