Cozy cottage with beautiful surroundings

Very beautiful area and cottage. Pleasant host. We had a great time.

This was a nice place for a stopover, but too small for us for a longer stay.

The gite was very nicely decorated, had everything we needed and the WiFi was good. The setting was very pretty and the gardens were very well maintained. The position was good for breaking our journey half way. Shops and restaurants nearby. Good size shower room and the whole place was very clean. The bed was comfortable and it was good for sleeping as it was very quiet outside.

We weren’t keen on the steepness of the steps to get to the bedroom, but we managed! Not good if you have to use the toilet in the night, as it’s downstairs. You can’t control the heating in the gîte. We were cold and tired after a long journey and the gîte was cold when we arrived. I asked the lady if she could put the heating on, she went and asked the owners and they put it on for us, so we were nice and cosy.

Beautiful setting. Good facilities. Although all the cutlery fell apart when using…no oil or basics for cooking, despite being advertised on the booking. But don’t let this put you off -

The two story ladders. It was impossible to expect the toddlers to stay downstairs with no adult - the fridge, the door to the outside, the bathroom….. so we stayed downstairs on the sofa bed (not the best!) and the girls were upstairs at the top of the ladder(4&5)

Het roodborstje die mij al zingend wakker maakte vervolgens werd ik gegroet door een bever. Dit is echt gebeurd ik ben gekomen voor de natuur en de natuur heeft mij gegroet. De omgeving was geweldig. De hostes waren ook heel vriendelijk!! Het enige minpunt was mijn partner.
