Harbour View, Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire

Location, location, location! Wonderful views with immediate access to the harbour, beach walk into Stonehaven, lovely cliff walk to Dunottar Castle, close to multiple cafes and pubs with good beer and easy parking. A clean and well appointed property with lovely living room and kitchen and comfortable beds. Having the two bathrooms was also great for our group consisting of two adult couples, 18 year old, 7 year old and a baby.

The restricted head height due to the sloping roof in the upper bedrooms especially when occupied by an adult couple. Having the bed centred in the room would have been helpful.

It was in a fantastic location. Comfortable rooms and beds. Newly renovated. Added bonus to have an en-suite, which I didn’t realise there was. Kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment we needed, bar a bottle opener which we bought and left for the next guest who might need one.

There was a door which looked like it went into another apartment which was off our hallway, so we didn’t know if someone was in there. The front door was tricky to lock.

Loved the kids being able to go straight to the beach and the harbour.

There was nothing we didn't like. We found the tumble dryer difficult to use as it locked in the load which made it impossible to pull items out early. Maybe a separate heat pump or condensing dryer would be better. Also could have used with a shoe rack and coat hooks at the front door. We were really conscious of having sand and wet kids and wet clothing and not wanting to bring it through the house, especially as it's carpeted. But those are minor points. We really enjoyed it and would book again next time I want a visit home.

Where the property was, amazing views and walking distance to EVERYTHING. Very comfortable beds and having 2 bathrooms was very convenient

Steep stairs
