Little Pyes barn

Little Pyes Barn is in the grounds of a large house, with parking directly to the side of the property via a short private drive. It is well laid out, with a comfortable lounge area (the sofa is also a sofabed and I used that for my daughter). Patio doors lead onto a wooden terrace, raised over a large private garden. The terrace has two cushioned sun loungers and a corner sofa dining area, which was perfect in the summer evenings. The kitchen area is small but well equipped and was ideal for our use. We cheated slightly by buying Cook meals from their store a few minutes away in Battle. The main bedroom was comfortable and a fan was provided, given the hot weather at the time of our visit. The bathroom is an ensuite, with a good quality shower. The property is well located for visiting Battle, Hastings and the surrounding areas. We visited the 1066 battle site, Hastings, Rye and Camber Sands during our visit. Hilary, our host, was very friendly, communicative and responsive - and popped in when we arrived to check if everything was to our liking. The property has good BT WiFi. Overall, an excellent stay and we would happily visit again.

Very little to say here - the extreme hot weather (August 2026) meant the property was very warm inside, but the ability to open up the patio doors and also with the fan supplied by the host, we were quite comfortable.

The barn was very clean, comfy bed and stunning terrace.

Lovely and well-equipped property in a quiet and peaceful location not far from Battle and Hastings. It was very relaxing to look at the garden from the decking. Hilary was a an excellent and responsive host.

Wonderful location if you're looking for the perfect quiet get away. Great porch with beautiful view of garden and the English countryside. Cute living, dining, kitchen area. Nice little bedroom and bathroom. Had absolutely everything we could want for. Super comfy and very clean! Very nice host. Everything was super easy. Close to many sightseeing attractions in the English South. Will definitely try to come back, if we should be in the area again!

Hit a cold and rainy spell in the middle of June so we couldn't enjoy the wonderful porch/patio as much as we would have liked to... We stayed 5 nights which might have been a bit of a longish stay, as the apartment isn't that super large, but everything was so nicely set up, that it was really easy to find enough room for everything, even during our longer stay. Bathroom and shower might be a bit small for some, but we didn't mind at all :)
