The house is located in a good area and has a nice backyard, which we enjoyed. However, the property itself is quite old and felt a bit run down.
We noticed a lot of moths getting inside, and the house was not stocked with basics like hand soap in the bathrooms or dish soap in the kitchen. After a long day of traveling, it was inconvenient to have to go out and purchase these items ourselves. There was a moth stuck in my bedroom and I'm terrified of moths.
Accessibility was also a challenge — the stairs are extremely steep. The kitchen, one bedroom, and one bathroom are in the basement, which requires going down steep stairs, while the other bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs. This made it difficult for my elderly parents and was even a challenge for me at 22.
The washer and dryer also didn’t work very well. Overall, the place wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t quite what I expected either. It was still liveable, and I wouldn’t mind staying again if needed, though it wouldn’t be my first choice.
