    I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding my family's profoundly unpleasant experience at Pullman Hai Phong after staying at your property for over two weeks in total. Following my mother’s successful surgery in Hanoi, I booked a room under her name so she could recover in peace, after which I had to fly to Bali for work. When my mother arrived to check in, she was unable to provide the booking confirmation code because I was mid-flight. The front desk staff rigidly refused her check-in, forcing an elderly woman who had just undergone major surgery to sit exhausting hours in the lobby. By afternoon, my aunt had no choice but to take her to stay at a relative's house. Pullman could have easily handled this with flexibility—such as requesting a security deposit so she could rest first—yet the staff simply dismissed her with "it's policy." Once I landed and got in touch, they claimed the issue was a "duplicate name in the system." This stands in sharp contrast to ***, where the door attendant immediately guessed who we were the moment we arrived—even though we had never stayed there before—and warmly welcomed us after realizing our flight was delayed. Furthermore, we encountered significant issues regarding the room conditions and hygiene. In addition to the service failures, many of the rooms we occupied had a very strong, oppressive chemical odor. Even more distressing, my son’s room was infested with cockroaches; he had to deal with them personally and was forced to call housekeeping to have the room cleaned. This is entirely unacceptable for a hotel claiming a luxury status. Although the Rooms Division Manager apologized at the time, what happened next makes it impossible for me to stay silent. Upon returning to the U.S., I realized I had left behind a bottle of perfume—a cherished birthday gift from my son—and several bottles of natural essential oils from a local Vietnamese brand that my sister loves. When we called to check, the hotel simply stated they were "not found." Our luggage was securely packed and untouched throughout our flight to the U.S., and we vividly remember the exact placement of these items in the room, so there is zero chance of misplacement on our end. When compared to ***, where staff personally returned a minor phone charger we had forgotten, items left behind at Pullman Hai Phong seem to mysteriously vanish without a trace. If anyone is looking for a place where room hygiene is substandard, where left-behind belongings instantly cease to exist, and where staff treat guests like emotionless machines—despite paying for a premium luxury service—then Pullman Hai Phong is the place to go. What an utter shame!

    Beautiful practically brand new hotel in Hai Phong. Such good value for how lavish the hotel is. Highly recommend the corner room. Amazing views.
