The person met us and spent time showing us around and explaining how things worked.

The location at Dockside Outlet Centre was very convenient and we had a nice view of the river. We were greeted by a polite, pleasant and helpful young woman who explained what she could and left her number. There was plenty of heating and hot water.

Kitchen: no teapot, milk jug, egg cups, tray, washing up bowl, drying rack, and only one from three under-cupboard light was working. Dining: Tiny glass table far too small for four people to use, barely sufficient cutlery, crockery sufficient but not generous. Bathrooms: no extractor fan, or not working if there was, no grab rails in the shower, under-cupboard light for the mirror not working. Bedrooms: spotless bedlinen but not ironed, even pillowslips; mirror required over the chests of drawers; ugly clothes rack with insufficient clothes hangers; beds very low, although comfortable; surprised we were asked to strip the beds thus revealing the grey and worn pillows. Throughout: woodwork scuffed and even chipped in places, very poor finishing to silicone mastic in the en suite; In General: very poor communication in the days before our tenancy, and no written instructions folder apparent, just a list of Dos and Don’ts, mainly Dont’ts plus a letter from the property management company dated April 2025 to advise that Kent Fire & Rescue recommend immediate remedial work to the dangerous fabric of the building and that a 24/7 waking watch be employed (not seen). Landing: horrible cooking smells from adjacent flats. Car Parking: secure parking provided but the permit we were given expired in August 2025. Keys: only one set provided meaning our party could not undertake separate activities.
