HOT TUB -Secluded Cabin Cave Run Lake and near Red River Gorge

There wasn't a thing I didn't like

The cabin was absolutely beautiful - everything you expect and more! It seems small but fits everyone more than comfortably; the outdoor space is incredible - hot tub, fire pit, outdoor eating… so much better than eating out (which is really good because it’s quite a remote area with very little choice in restaurants) - Miguel’s Pizza was the only actual restaurant we could find and that was about 45 minutes away near the Gorge, but we didn’t visit the Kentucky Alps for eating out; the hiking was so beautiful - the natural bridges and waterfalls were breathtaking and well worth the hikes (although there was a Skylift available at the Natural Bridge because we did have people in our party who couldn’t hike)! The beds were all the more comfortable after all the hiking and the cabin was well stocked with games and movies to snuggle up with after. Our hosts were so accessible and friendly - they even welcomed us with a message on the TV when we arrived (!) and answered any and all questions we had immediately through the chat! They were so gracious and even let me keep a great book that hooked me when we got to the cabin!

If you’re not used to driving such an area, it is a bit away from the hustle of campsites and hiking trails; not many miles but slow going because of the rolling hills and narrow roads we aren’t used to. It took at least 45-60 minutes to get to the Natural Bridge and as I mentioned before, there’s not much in terms of groceries and restaurants. Pick up groceries before you arrive in some of the bigger towns on the way there and you’ll be just fine!

It was very clean and cozy, had everything we needed for the perfect valentines getaway!

The jacuzzi lost temperature fast due to the cold weather.
