Maison à Deux Mains

Ryan and Agnes were lovely hosts, and the maison is beautiful, with its own cellar. Parts of the maison date back to the late 1700s, and with the guest rooms beautifully restored and climate controlled. Everything feels curated, from the breakfast (highly recommended) to the bath products. The location is superb, in the Grand Cru village of Äy-Champagne within walking distance of several champagne houses. It is about a 7 min drive / 15 min bike ride to Épernay and its Avenue de Champagne, and the hosts offered use of their bikes. The hosts also provided excellent dinner and activity recommendations; Ryan even provided us with a short walking tour itinerary of sights in nearby Reims. When we return we will stay at Maison À Deux Mains again.

Beautiful stay, perfect for visiting champagne region without having to stay in a busy town. Everything was just so, with attention to detail making the stay perfect, topped off by an amazing breakfast and fabulous friendly hosts.

Ryan and Agnes are exceptional, deeply generous hosts who made us feel personally cared for from the moment we arrived — welcoming us with champagne after a long journey. The house is stunning: beautifully designed, immaculate, and full of thoughtful details. Even during an intense heatwave it stayed cool and comfortable. The food was outstanding, the champagne excellent, and every small touch was considered with care. This is hospitality well beyond five stars, and the highlight of our trip to Champagne.

Honestly, nothing — we only wished we could have stayed longer.
