Villa Ljubica

This was the highlight of our whole trip and probably one of the best places we have ever stayed! Draženka and Dinko were the kindest and most helpful hosts, and the breakfast was incredible (and different!) every single day! The location on Šipan is lovely - a quiet fishing village nestled along the coast, with beautiful houses and nature all around. And you look down on the town from the Villa in the peace and quiet, watching the ferry pootle round the corner from Lopud, and drinking a lovely glass of wine. It really is heaven here! The room was exceptionally clean and done up to a high standard, with everything you would expect. And the cherry on top was being picked up and dropped off at the harbour ready to catch our ferry back to reality! Little tip - to the southeast of the harbour along the main road and up the slope, there is a little cove (called 'Small Beach' on Google Maps), which is so peaceful and has beautiful clear water. Once the day tourists have left after the morning you basically have it all to yourself :)

Draženka is a fantastic host, her cooking and attention to detail were exceptional. We actively looked forward to breakfast each morning to see what amazing dishes Draženka had prepared. She is incredibly helpful, and helped us to arrange a transfer from the island to the airport as the ferry times didn't work for our flight. And provided good recommendations for our time on the island. The villa is immaculate, it has been renovated to such a high standard. The views from the terrace (and bedrooms) are breathtaking. We could have stayed here for weeks. The stay is excellent value for money, we very much hope to return again. Thank you Draženka, we cannot put into words how much of a good time we had!

You have truly gone above and beyond in every way, and it’s no exaggeration to say that you have been a huge part of what made this holiday so special and memorable for us. Your hospitality has been absolutely outstanding, and every interaction with you has been a pleasure. The food was exceptional and far exceeded our expectations – every meal was delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and a real highlight of our trip. It’s clear how much care and passion you put into everything you do, and that made such a difference to our experience. Drazenka even cooked for us one night when it was too stormy to go outside! Dinko and Drazenka even treated us all to a home cooked meal which is one of the best meals of my life! We have travelled to many places over the years, but the level of welcome, generosity, and genuine care you showed us is something we will remember for a very long time. Thank you for creating such a wonderful atmosphere and for making us feel so comfortable, relaxed, and looked after throughout our stay. Truly felt like staying with family ❤️ This has been one of our favourite holidays, and a large part of that is thanks to you. We leave with wonderful memories, full hearts, and immense gratitude. Thank you again for everything—you are a truly amazing host, and we hope to stay again soon!
