Villa Ljubica

ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. Having spent 5 nights there with my partner, every single day confirmed just how much this was the best welcome and accommodation we have ever booked! The island is a true haven of peace, absolutely charming — a little fisherman’s gem inhabited by local wine and olive oil producers. It’s the perfect place to relax while still offering plenty of excursions, either around the island itself or to Lopud, just a 15-minute boat ride away, for the beautiful Sunj beach and its botanical garden. I completely agree with the previous review saying that it is far better to stay in Sudurad and spend a day in Dubrovnik than the other way around. The location is also absolutely ideal: the house is only a 5-minute walk from the port, so for anyone worried that getting organized or moving around the island might be complicated, there is really nothing to worry about. Then, the house itself is also perfect: absolutely full of charm, built in stone, overlooking the sea with an incredible view, and offering complete comfort. The house has been fully renovated, and every detail has been chosen with care and elegance to provide guests with the highest level of comfort worthy of luxury hotels. But above all, what will stay with us for a very long time is the fantastic hospitality of our hosts, and the kindness and generosity of Drazenka, Mario, and Dinko. Thank you for your advice, thank you for your presence, and thank you a million times for those fantastic breakfasts facing the sea, different every morning yet each one just as delicious as the last. 10/10 is simply not enough to describe this place, which will never stop surprising you!! We would almost want to keep this little gem a secret to ourselves, because we are certain it will become the next dream destination for many travelers. In any case, it has certainly become ours. Nothing - everything was way beyond expectation

Die Villa wurde 2019 stilvoll und mit viel Liebe renoviert und das Motto der Gastgeber war, eine Unterkunft zu schaffen, in der sie selbst Urlaub machen wollten. Die 5 Zimmer sind jedenfalls top ausgestattet und die verwendeten Materialien sind absolut hochwertig und alles ist blitz sauber und wirkt neuwertig. Aber was ist die tollste Unterkunft ohne echte Gastgeber? Nach der Ankunft am Abend wurde wir nur zu einem Gläschen eingeladen und erwartet hat uns dann eine Schinken-Käseplatte, Shrimpssalat ... Drasenka und Dinko leben echte Gastfreundlichkeit, Service und Herzlichkeit wie selten zu vor erlebt. Das Frühstück wurde und wird zu recht als außergewöhnlich von allen Gästen beurteilt und alleine auf der Terrasse nur zu frühstücken, wäre bereits einen Aufenthalt wert. Nett ist die Idee, dass die Gäste an einem sehr großen Tisch gemeinsam frühstücken und so die Möglichkeit des Kennenlernens fördern - wir lernten so John und Julie aus Colorado sowie Lisa, Michelle und Nigel aus Südafrika kennen, was in einem gewöhnlichen Hotel kaum möglich gewesen wäre. Wir hatten das Glück 5 Nächte gebucht zu haben und so durften wir an einem Abendessen und an einem Fisch Barbecue teilnehmen, denn Dinko ist Fischer und da ist es ihm ein Leichtes wirklich frischen Fisch anbieten zu können. Auch wenn wir eigentlich niemals an den selben Ort zurückkehren, haben wir mit der Villa Ljubica einen Ort gefunden, der wirklich paradiesisch ist.

12/10 Villa Ljubica exceeds all the expectations. I’ve travelled a lot but this was a unique experience of a great hospitality and warm atmosphere. Villa Ljubica is family owned in 4th generation and the owners really made us feel like home when we spent our days on a sunny terrace enjoying the magnificent scenery to the mountains and sea. The elegant decor is harmonious with the villa’s long history. Vegan traveling is often difficult but here our needs were met by every detail and even more. Villa Ljubica is a vegan paradise and a true harbor of peace.
