Outside facilities excellent. Communal areas indoors and outside also excellent. Well equipped.

1) There were just too many 'layers' involved in the management of this property. We booked through booking.com, who were not able to answer our questions and referred us to the 'Host'. The 'Host' transpired to be Novasol, based in Denmark. At no point were we told that Novasol had a representative 'office' in Nice which seemed to be responsible for cleaning and management. However, we had no means of contacting them. Had we arrived at night and been unable to get in, we would have been completely stuck. Even trying to change our check-in time from 16.00 to 15.00 proved fruitless because we were dealing with Novasol (Denmark) rather than Novasol (Nice). Only once we gained entry to the property did we find the names and telephone number of the owners of the property. They were extremely helpful, and it was they who contacted Novasol in Nice, whose representative messaged us before eventually coming to replace lightbulbs, Her mobile no. was the only means we ever had of contacting anyone at Novasol (Nice) and she told us that they were available only during office hours. The owners also arranged for an engineer to come and fix the internet, and it was the owners, not Novasol, who came late at night to restore the electricity when we had a power outage due to a thunderstorm, and who arranged for another engineer to come to mend the alarm which went off at intervals following the power cut. In short, we found Novasol unhelpful and an unneccessary impediment. 2) We paid an additional fee for bed linen and towels. Those supplied were tired, mismatching and in somecases, threadbare and unabsorbent (in the case of the towels). Until we complaimed to the Novasol rep., we had no bathmats and no handtowel for the WC. We asked for pool towels but she said she was unable to supply them. We were issued with only one drying up towel for seven people for eight nights! Many (more than 8) lightbulbs were missing or not working.
