Alpine Resort Khaplu

Very good location, beautiful surroundings; comfortable and clean room; hot water in the bathroom always available; tasty meals; very nice service; wonderful garden; stayed here twice

If you're going to Khaplu, look no further and stay at Alpine Resort. We initially booked one night and ended up staying for five; as a full time traveler, it's rare that I find a hotel that I love as much as Alpine Resort. The rooms are bright and beautiful with comfortable beds, and the property is peaceful with a fruit tree garden to relax in. The electricity and hot water were very reliable, and the wifi was good as well. We ate several breakfasts and dinners at the hotel and all of the food was excellent (and very reasonably priced); I especially recommend trying as many of the Balti specialties as you can. By far the best part of Alpine is the manager, Faiz. He was extremely responsive on whatsapp and constantly went above and beyond to make us feel at home, including bringing us fresh fruit from their trees and helping us get laundry done. He also helped us organize very budget-friendly and high-quality transportation and excursions from Khaplu -- he negotiated a Nangma valley trek package for us at half the price we were quoted in Skardu. If you need low-cost transportation to Khaplu from Skardu, just reach out to him before you arrive -- he got us seats in a shared car for under rs 1500 door to door!

Nothing, really -- this is a truly incredible hotel. Be aware that the property is a ~20 min walk to the main bazaar of Khaplu. Wasn't an issue for us, especially since the in-house food was so good, and being outside of the bazaar meant we had a very peaceful stay.

Everything!! The room was so nice with a stunning view. Hot water and electricity are running all the time. It's such a quiet place for a good rest. The food was so tasty and nice. Faiz was keen to answer all my questions and gave great tips for exploring khaplu. Thank you, Faiz, for your professionalism.
