Casa La Vista

Die Unterkunft hatte eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf das Meer, war sauber und gemütlich. Der Gastgeber war freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Struttura fantastica nelle vicinanze di bastia (circa 10 minuti di auto) che offre una vista spettacolare sulla cittadina e sul mare. La struttura è molto accogliente, dotata di arredamento moderno, il letto e i cuscini sono comodissimi. L’appartamento è dotato di tutti i comfort: mini frigo con acqua fresca, una macchina del caffè con alcune capsule a disposizione degli ospiti, asciugamani e prodotti per il bagno. Un grazie speciale a Eliane che ci ha accolto con gentilezza e disponibilità nonostante in nostro arrivo oltre l’orario di check in.

La casa è bellissima, pulita, dotata di tutti i comfort e curata nei minimi dettagli, con una vista stupenda! Zona privata per poter parcheggiare auto/moto. Simpaticissimi e super disponibili i gestori :)

It was nice to live on the outskirts of Bastia in the mountains, where it is quieter than in the city and has fresh air. The lady who showed us around when we arrived was very friendly.

We had hoped for something more “idyllic”. It wasn't bad, but there were a few annoying details. For example, the terrace was narrow with a view downhill on an unkempt flat roof of the next house and then on to suburbs of Bastia. Right next to the terrace was a dark shed like a dark cellar room, which was only covered by a screen; from the shed a really loud unit was constantly roaring (air conditioning?). That's why you had to keep the terrace door (the only window) closed at night. However, there were mosquitoes as real pests - that's why we could not open the bathroom window at night to ventilate the bedroom (a fly screen in front of the rather small bathroom window seems useful, unfortunately there was not). We were able to make ourselves coffee and tea for breakfast, but there were no plates for a croissant we had brought with us - these facilities were "meager". To get to the entrance of the appartment you have to climb a small flight of steps outside (quite narrow for luggage). Beautiful trees grow in the flower beds to the right and left of the stairs - but they are not pruned, so that the lower branches brushed my head every time I passed. There is a small corridor (approx. 1.50 x 1.50 m) between the entrance door and the bedroom door of the appartment. There is also a doorway to an other cellar room without a door but covered with cloth. We only noticed this at night, when a disturbing light from this cellar room was constantly shining through under the door to the beedroom; we couldn't find a switch to turn off the light.
