Everything. The surrounding are so beautiful. Staff is very friendly. There is on site massage and a small shop available. The shala has an amazing view. Pool has an amazing view on the rice terraces. The environment is very calm. I loved sitting on the small terrace of my room and do some readings. Restaurant area had free tea, coffee and cookies available throughout the day. The room has a water dispenser available. The village trekking activity was very nice. It’s very green and clean. The coconut oil workshop was very interesting with a local couple. Their place has an extremely beautiful building and there are many different kinds of animals/pets. I loved it. I am backpacking so I left quite a lot of excess luggage, shampoo, yoga blocks etc. at the resort and they were okay with that. Also I hope the staff is happy with the stuff I left because everything was in good condition. Also the retreat doesn’t accept pets normally but they made an exception for my puppy. Everyone was super cute with her and she loved everyone. Thank you so much!
Balitrees taxi driver is a bit weird. He is very nosy and kept asking me what was in my luggage when he was loading the car. Also he decided to have lunch when I drove on the motorcycle to the resort and took his sweet time while I was waiting for all my valuable belongings at the property. We agreed that we would meet at the resort. Also it’s just a 40 minute drive. Balitrees solved it by not charging me for the ride and let me participate in their activities without charge, which I found a very nice gesture.

My family of 5 (my husband and I, and 3 adult kids ages 20+) had a wonderful time staying here. We really loved the gorgeous and peaceful location in the middle of the rice fields and the jungle. The staff were very helpful, doing everything they could to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The food is delicious and at a good price, we were happy that we could have more choices of menu since we booked via Booking.com. Other guests did not get to choose their meals, but we could choose our lunch and dinner from 5 options. Drinking water was provided for free, each room had it's own big water cooler which was fantastic. We really enjoyed the free meditation session and tour of the village! 3 of us also got massages, pedicures and manicures and they were good- especially the massages - they were the best we've ever had, and they were at good prices.
Yoga sessions cost extra, and cost 3,500,000 per session per person- we thought that was too high so we did not join any. Also, good to know- every home and property in the local village has at least 1 dog, and some are free to walk where they want. When we did the tour with the guide, no dogs approached us. But when we walked by ourselves a few days later, several dogs did, and some ran at us, barking, which was quite scary.
