    I booked the room for my first time Beppu visit. It’s only a short walk from Beppu JR station and every room has unblocked sea view. My room is beautiful as expected and very very calm. Love the spacious living room where I spent hours reading and sipping my green tea. My room rate include dinner and breakfast. My Kaiseki dinner not only delicious but every dish is an art piece on its own. Between the my window and the sea, there is a park with lush green vegetation. Best place to relax will be the open air foot bath on the 2nd floor lobby. The outdoor and indoor onsen are both amazing. The hotel is located in the most convenient location. Restaurants, shops and supermarkets are all within minutes. Love this place and will definitely want to go back again!

    Our 2 night stay at Kai Beppu was fine, with the exception of the cleaning part. When we entered the room we found some mosquitoes - that should be addressed by mosquito lamps or coil. We stayed for 2 nights and there was no cleaning service after the first night. Had we wanted to change towels we had to put them outside the door, and to empty the trash can we needed to place it out of the room, and the staff would leave the new towels and toilet amenities outside the door. Personally I do not like this arrangement - this should be considered an upscale hotel (not a self service hostel), and the cleaning staff should take care of all these things. The room itself was in decent size with great sea view. Both check in and check out was efficient and staffs were professional. Our stay plan included dinner & breakfast and the food was good.

    No room cleaning after the 1st night. Used towels and trash can needed to be placed outside the room, and the staff would replace with new towels and emptied trash can outside the door. Seriously this arrangement was not desirable, and don't tell us that is for the environment - that is simply cost cutting and/or not enough cleaning staff. Other than the room cleaning issue the stay was ok.
