The host is fantastic. We were stuck in Sorrento in the morning with a train strike. Gianpaulo offered to drive to Sorrento to pick us up and drive us back to the apartment for 80 euros. Cheaper and better than hiring a cab as the trains were not running that day. He gave us the keys when we got to the apartment and all was fine. 3 days later he also drove us to the Naples airport for 70 euros. Not many hosts would be willing to drive their guests. The apartment itself is wonderful and centrally located in Pompeii a block away from the noisy streets but close to everything. A big supermarket is about a 10 minute walk from there where we stocked up provisions for our stay. He speaks broken English but communicates exceptionally well using what's app for all his messages.

Couple of small things, The apartment is on the 3 rd floor with no elevator so you have climb the stairs. The microwave didn't seem to work so we didn't use it. The shower door appeared to have been knocked off it's track at the bottom by a previous guest but we didn't have an issue using the shower. Be advised that you have to pay the city hotel tax in cash when you check in which was somewhere around 20 to 30 euros for our stay.

Perfektní poloha ubytování v blízkosti vstupu do Pompejí, vlakového nádraží, restaurací a přesto to byla klidná lokalita. Super cena. Velmi milý majitel.

Vše bylo v pořádku, možná by mohlo být lepší vybavení kuchyně.

La facilidad de comunicación con GianPaolo es increíble, esta pendiente de ti en todo momento, si has llegado bien del aeropuerto, que transporte debes coger, si te ha ido bien el día, cualquier tipo de excursión, simplemente maravilloso, el apartamento tiene todas las comodidades, cocina equipada con horno, lavavajillas, toallas, mantas, etc, la ubicación es perfecta, cerca de todo, entrada a Pompei 5 min, estacion de tren 5 min, supermercado a 10 min, y zonas de restauracion y plaza a 5 min, además esta suficientemente alejado de aglomeraciones, es un punto estratégico que te dará la sensación de tranquilid y descanso fabuloso.

Por poner una pega, que OJO no la tengo, pondría un Microondas, aunque tampoco nos hizo mucha falta ya que solo lo utilizamos para calentar la leche para desayunar y tienes pequeñas ollas que hacen su cometido

The property is located on a quiet (for Pompei) side street a short walk from the ruins. It is brightly and comfortably furnished. Gianpaolo picked us up from the airport and had no issue with our flight being over an hour late. He was also helpful with local knowledge.

As with anywhere in this area of Pompei you need to be aware the bells from the main church will wake you up at 7am if you like to sleep with the windows open, this may be a issue or a feature depending on your point of view!
