Coach House Totnes

We loved the "high end" finish throughout the property, with swanky bathrooms, nice kitchen and furnishings! Quirky layout, but we soon got used to it and felt very comfortable in our surroundings and everything you could need was provided (hairdryer, soap, dishwasher, washing machine,washing tablets, iron and ironing board etc), a proper home from home. Location couldn't have been more convenient, just a few moments walk to the High Street and we could see the top of the Castle a stone's throw from the bedroom window. We could hear the Pub at the end of Castle Street a couple of nights, but it went quiet at 12:00am. There is a lovely, independent grocery store, the Happy Apple, just a couple of minutes walk away, as well as a good selection of cafés and restaurants all along the main street. The local Market on Fridays and Saturdays is one of the best I have come across, selling lovely foodstuffs and an eclectic mix of clothing and other items. All in all, we did have a very enjoyable stay.

Would have preferred a downstairs kitchen. Pub was a bit noisy.

It’s a beautifully fitted out property in a great location. All is very new and well kept. The kitchen is really well kitted out of you want to cook. Great that it has two bathrooms.

Maybe some additional plates and glasses wouldn’t go amiss so that you don’t have to put the dishwasher on after every meal. Don’t forget your ear plugs if you are not out partying at the local pub. Thankfully it finishes at 12am.

Everything was as described - no surprises. Very clean and well appointed. Everything worked. Great communications.

Totnes is an ancient town with narrow streets - parking is a premium. It was excellent to have a reserved space but a little closer would have been icing on the cake. Given the location though - parking a short distance away is no real penalty.

The property was maintained to an exceptional standard with excellent facilities in a great location.
