Property completely unsuited for truly cold season. No proper heating device provided.

Caution: this property is completely UNSUITED for a cold, winter stay. The single a/c unit was unable to heat the space up after we arrived - resulting in us having to sleep fully clothed, with our jackets and coats on. When we contacted the host about this, she was polite but unable to help - no extra heating unit was provided and extra bed covers where to arrive only after the first night. [The temperature outside was 0 degrees that night and the only bed covers available, a light duvet and a light, spring blanket]. Unable to properly sleep all night and with the prospect of spending a second night in the property without any extra heating device, we wrote to the owner that we were vacating the premises - as we, indeed, did. When we left, it was still uncomfortable to be in the property, even after almost 18 hours of the a/c functioning at full level. I then very politely asked for a refund on the second night, the last night of our 2-day booked stay. I was refused, on the basis that our experience was "subjective" and that it was "our fault" we decided to vacate the premises. A very disheartening answer. Long story short: do not book this property when the weather is really cold.

Well lets say it was very nice. The apartment was clean and welcoming. It had everything we needed! The owner was very polite to tell us the details and the best locations of the town!

Lovely picturesque stay in Kavala

Very nice and clean apartment in very good location. Beautiful sea views and balcony. Has air-conditioning and a fridge.

With a few small extras this studio apartment would be superb.

The studio was large, nicely furnished and very clean. The bed was comfortable, the towels were soft and white. We particularly appreciated the Nespresso machine, and the aircon/heating unit. The balcony and view really made the studio extra special.

Only paper cups were provided for drinking from. We had to buy 2 mugs and 2 glasses, and we would have appreciated some basic cutlery eg a tea spoon. Also a blanket would have been welcome as the weather was cold and wet to start. The steep steps up were a challenge until we found the road up was easier, though slightly longer. Parking was expensive; the nearest carpark, Erythou Stavrou 130, is 15 euros for 24 hours, so soon mounts up. Apparently parking is free on some roads, but we never found any spaces, although it was only May.

Не ни хареса това, че няма паркомясто, но не е чак толкова фатално🙂
