The spaciousness of our apartment was impressive, even by American standards. Large bedrooms, each with its own bath and nice common areas, including the outside balcony for dining and the back pool deck (really nice pool, with outside shower). Great for avoiding tension while still being together during a family vacay! The orientation of the building was propitious to catching cross breezes and there was always one outside space that had shade. We (7 people) ate dinner right after sunset on the balcony. We were the only ones there, but it looks like the two flanking units have outdoor dining on the opposite sides, so there was good thought put into creating privacy while still allowing families togetherness outside (nice long table inside as well). The kitchen was well-equipped. We cooked dinners on site and did not lack for any pots, pans, knives, cutting boards, salad spinners etc. Water pressure was great, showers of the walk in sort with no step up and spacious (no shower curtain sticking to your derrière) with a credible choice between the handheld showerhead and the overhead kind that Americans are accustomed to. The bedding was topnotch, mattresses made in Corsica according to the very lovely proprietor. The decor is tasteful and minimalist. Modern furniture, no tacky touristy stuff. We really appreciated being able to walk to the little Leclerc supermarket, about 1/2 a km away. And you can find recycling bins on the way to that. You have to drive to town (St. Florent) and to the beach but it is not far (10 minutes) and in early June we did not struggle to find parking. And did I mention the pool? So so nice to have that in the early evening after a day at the beach. Long enough to swim laps in, and armpit deep the whole length of it (so maybe not great for small children). Highly recommend taking a boat to the Lotu beach and reserving at the beachside restaurant there.

Written instructions might have been helpful for some appliances? The capsule espresso machine was a riddle, and the dishwasher (nice to have a dishwasher!) had a 3-hour cycle (or we didn't know how to use it properly). Also the hot water heater made a bit of a racket one night, not sure what was up with that--some plumbing quirk.

Tout s’est très bien passé. La maison très belle, bien pensée, spacieuse avec tout ce qu’il faut. Piscine très agréable bien sûr ainsi que l’accueil qui était fort sympathique. Merci pour tout ! 😊😊😊
