In Højer, for example, you will find Northern Europe's tallest Dutch windmill from 1857, where you can see the history of the mill and the natural and cultural history of Tøndermarsken. From the mill you have a view over the beautiful Tøndermarsk and the Wadden Sea. You can also visit Møgeltønder, where Schackenborg Castle is located. In summer, it is possible to take part in guided tours of the castle garden several times a week. The town of Tønder is also worth a visit.
