C’est un superbe hôtel géré par une famille d’une grande gentillesse et serviable. Aucune fausse note. Le petit déjeuner est copieux servi en terrasse avec une belle vue. On peut y aller les yeux fermés

L’hôtel est propre, confortable, bien entretenu et moderne, ce qui change agréablement des hôtels environnants et situé à seulement 15 minutes à pied du bazar de Gjirokastër. Le personnel est accueillant, disponible et toujours prêt à aider. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié leur gentillesse et leur réactivité lorsqu’un petit imprévu s’est présenté.

The rooms are pretty small (especially the bathroom!), but nicely furnished. Since there are only three parking spots at the house, the other guests have to make do with the owners’ spot. Good view of the valley, since the house is located very high up on the hillside.

It’s hard to find, and Google Maps is more of a hindrance than a help in this case. We got lost countless times and drove dangerously close to the building walls on the wet cobblestones in the EXTREMELY narrow and EXTREMELY steep alleys. If we’d known that, we wouldn’t have chosen this place. The owner doesn’t speak a word of English, and there’s no real way to communicate with her daughter either. Another first for us was that the patio door to our room led out to the open breakfast area (the patio!). The other guests could look right into the room, and when it’s 35 degrees, you don’t always keep the door and curtains closed. So something new!
