A stunning and gorgeously appointed two double bedroom barn conversion with central courtyard, secluded south facing garden, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and under 3 miles from the nearest beach.. 3 steps to entrance.

The Byre has been designed to take advantage of the stunning views of the surrounding countryside. As you step inside, you’re greeted by a cosy and inviting interior, thoughtfully designed to provide a boutique stay for you and your loved ones. Featuring spacious bedrooms ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The well-equipped kitchen means you to can prepare delightful meals for your family and friends.
Two large double bedrooms with en-suites occupy the ground floor. Upstairs boasts an open plan living space with doors leading to the outside south facing ( private ) garden and hot tub for 4 ( private ) with steps leading to raised communal gardens that command terrific views of the North Devon Coastline and Exmoor National Park.
Two dogs are welcome ( please keep off the furniture ) and there is a designated dog shower outside.
You can have a day out on Lundy Island, go diving or take a trip on the Ilfracombe Princess and see seals, porpoises and sea birds nesting on the cliffs. Try your hand at sea fishing on Blue Fin or take an exhilarating tour of the amazing coastline on the Ilfracombe Sea Safari or on the Hampshire Rose, a former RNLI Lifeboat.
This area plays host to world class beaches including Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Croyde – all of which are famous for their surfing and vast stretches of golden sand. The Byre and The Shippon can be booked together to accommodate up to 12 guests.

Date of Stay: 2nd - 9th August 2024Our stay at The Byre in North Devon was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality by our fantastic hosts. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, starting with the lovely surprise of homemade bread and brownies waiting for us upon arrival – a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the rest of our visit.The barn conversion itself is stunningly restored, blending rustic charm with modern amenities seamlessly. Every detail in the restoration speaks to the care and dedication John and Rebecca have put into this beautiful space. The interiors are cozy yet spacious, and the attention to detail in the decor made it feel like a true home away from home. Everything was already at the property, and I really do mean everything, dishwasher tablets, fans, hairdryers, coffee pods and hand wash to name a few.Throughout our stay, our hosts were incredibly attentive, always available if we needed anything, yet respectful of our privacy. Their knowledge of the local area and recommendations for things to do and places to visit were invaluable and truly enhanced our experience in this beautiful part of Devon.Beautiful evenings in the hot tub, using the outside warm shower, playing darts and pool in the games room set this stay apart from the rest. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and would highly recommend this place to a family looking for a peaceful, quality retreat in North Devon.
