Come stay in this quirky A frame, located just 20 minutes from the Swift Run Gap entrance
station to Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive. This cottage provides the perfect
mountain getaway for 2-4 people. Relax inside or enjoy the back deck and fire pit.
Whether you’re looking to enjoy the national park, spend time at local wineries or
breweries, or explore the Charlottesville area, this house is the perfect place to rest and
relax before launching your adventures in the area. While this house offers a wooded
retreat into nature, it is also conveniently located 10 minutes from the town of
Stanardsville, 20 minutes from Ruckersville, 40 minutes from Charlottesville, and 45
minutes from Harrisonburg.
The Space
Each of the two bedrooms features a full size bed. Downstairs, the living room has a couch,
loveseat, Roku smart tv, books and games for your entertainment. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, and utensils for you to cook your favorite meals.
Outside, you can unwind next to the fire pit or on the back deck. Please note that you will have
to go up and down 3 stairs to enter and exit the house and back porch. Inside, there is a
spiral staircase to the upstairs bedrooms.
The local area contains endless hiking trails, many with stunning views, and numerous
wineries. It’s an easy drive to Harrisonburg and Charlottesville, where you can enjoy
great food, shopping, and museums. If you want to take a walk from the house, we
recommend hiking the Entry Run trail, only 1.5 miles from our house.

This is a lovely and unique cabin. We loved the back deck. The kitchen was well equipped. The host is extremely responsive. The property is very spacious and gorgeous when it snows.

A fantastic cabin in a quiet area not far from Shenandoah. Definitely pet friendly. Good wifi service and check in/out was a breeze. There were quite a few stink bugs, but that's what happens that close to the woods. A perfect retreat after a day of hiking.

The location was just what needed to be close to Shenandoah without camping! Cozy little place that was good for me and 2 kids. They had fun with the spiral stairs (which our dogs would not climb :) and the 2-person monopoly. Good internet and plenty blankets. Would not recommend for babies/toddlers who are climbers due to the stairs. Host was responsive.

Very nice and clean space! Some construction of a new house happening next door, but that will be over soon enough and we were never disturbed by any construction noise. Close enough to the NP that we hiked there daily. Great fire pit and patio.
