Steps from all that midtown has to offer, Midtown Retreat’s private pool and deck is an oasis to enjoy it all from. Our light-filled midcentury charmer is spacious and cozy. Only 2 miles to the Capitol and 1 mile to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, this home is a treat to stay in for working trips. Three miles to Doak Campbell Stadium makes for a quick trip for games. We hope that you are booking this house because you plan to enjoy the amenities our neighborhood has to offer. Because we are in the heart of the city, you may notice noise from time to time. We offer white noise machines in all sleeping spaces as well as ear plugs for the most sensitive sleepers.
We'll get you started with items such as toilet paper, soap, detergent and cleaning supplies, however you will be responsible for purchasing additional, if needed.
Our pool is original to the house (we think) and the entrance to the pool is a ladder, not stairs like modern pools. Because of the placement of the pool and ladder access, guests with mobility difficulties may have trouble using the pool and deck.
Pool safety is enormously important! We have a fence to separate the front doors from the pool, but a determined child could find a way around it (over the railing I imagine) - There are alarms on the front doors which can be switched on if you have children in your party. Don’t swim alone, kids never swim without supervision. Pool toys are not for life-saving interventions. Please no glass on the pool deck.

Tip for Families Visiting FSU:
We used to stay closer to campus or the stadium, which was convenient. But Midtown is where you want to be! Walkable to great restaurants, coffee shops, and with a vibrant atmosphere, it's such a better experience in my opinion—and only 2.5 miles from campus. This house is absolutely charming, spotless, and I can’t recommend it enough. The host was fantastic, and the location made our trip so much more enjoyable. You’ll love it here! Enjoy your stay!
