Our inn, which has always been family-owned, has been serving guests for over 100 years and is known far beyond the borders of Franconian Switzerland. The inn bears the name “Scheffel-Gasthof” in memory of Joseph Viktor von Scheffel, the folk poet of German hiking and student songs (“Wohlauf die Luft geht frisch und rein …”), who stayed with us several times over 100 years ago. Experience our hospitality in our stylishly decorated rooms (our inn is smoke-free) and see for yourself our highly acclaimed home-style Franconian cuisine, our carefully selected wines, and our homemade cakes and pastries.
Our inn features 13 double rooms and 5 single rooms. To start the day, our guests can enjoy a generous breakfast buffet; half-board includes a 3-course menu of your choice. Wi-Fi available.
