About this house rental
This 1100 square foot home has 1 bedroom and 1 bath on the main floor, plus an open loft with extra beds for a total sleeping capacity of 8 people. Tucked away in a quiet area on the South side of the island, this home has fantastic views of Lake Huron, allowing you to relax and enjoy the Island to its fullest.
This home was built in 2004 and has several finishes that were used from natural resources right on the home's property, such as the stair railings and beds, which were made from cedar trees that were cleared when making room for the home. The wood-burning fireplace is faced with rocks that were handpicked from the shoreline, and the mantle is made from reclaimed wood.
The property has 100 feet of shore frontage with wide open views of the lake. You can enjoy the passing of freighters right from the shore or while out exploring in the 2 kayaks that are included. The fire pit area is also located close to the water.

Jeeps, Side by Sides and ATVs are welcome, however you must trailer SxSs and ATVs to the trailheads since they are not permitted on M134/Channel Road.
Do not climb the stairs to the viewing platform located by the water. Consider bringing water shoes to explore the rocky shoreline.

Check in was very easy thanks to the instructions provided in advance. Kitchen has what you need for cooking. Property and amenities were as described. Wifi only works occasionally, but it sounds like it was that way on the entire island during our stay. We had one minor issue with the air conditioner, but with one message, it was fixed right away.

This property is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful sunsets, views of the water, various rocks and vegetation. Excellent for those who want some plain r and r and great scenery. If you’re looking for water recreation, kayaking is pretty much the only choice as it is fully a rock populated shoreline and water floor which makes getting in the water extremely difficult. There are, however, a few sandy beaches on the island that you can go to swim at. The inside of the house was comfortable and enjoyable. Overall a great stay!
