Malespini is a renovated apartment located in the heart of Florence’s historic centre, just steps from Piazza della Signoria and the Duomo.
The apartment is on the 2nd floor with elevator (10 steps to reach it) and accommodates up to 4 guests. It features a bright living area with equipped kitchenette, one double bedroom with private bathroom, one twin bedroom also with private bathroom, and air conditioning throughout the main rooms.
Its prime location allows guests to explore Florence’s main attractions entirely on foot.
The public bus service in Florence is provided by "Ataf".
The nearest bus stop to the house is on via Vecchietti about 10 minutes walking distance, and the bus n° is 6 or 11.
Otherwise it is always possible to call a taxi calling one of these numbers: +39 0554242 or +39 0554390.
Air conditioning: there are three split units: one in the each bedroom and one in the living room.
The apartment is located within the Duomo district in Florence’s historic city centre. The Duomo area constitutes the very heart of Florence and the area takes its name from Brunelleschi’s magnificent dome on the wonderful Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral. The Duomo neighbourhood offers an array of beautiful historical buildings and superb piazzas including the Mercato di San Lorenzo, the Piazza del Duomo and Piazza della Repubblica, famous for its attractive cafes, patisserie shops, live music, street performers, and caricature artists. Furthermore, the area is surrounded by the city’s main cultural attractions, notably Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, the Bargello Palace, and Casa Buonarroti, the former home of Michelangelo, not to mention the Uffizi Gallery and the museum dedicated to the city’s cathedral “Museo dell'Opera del Duomo.” The area also has much to offer in terms of fine dining and exclusive boutique shopping. This particular apartment is in fact located within the ZTL zone so this means that if you are thinking of coming to Florence by car and wish to drive around and park, then you will need to pay special attention to the road signs, CCTV cameras and access cameras (they will show either a red/green light) in order to avoid receiving fines. Guests who need to travel within the ZTL zone by car to reach their apartment are advised to contact a private garage. Thanks to the private garage you will obtain a temporary access permit. Upon arrival at the garage, guests must specify they need access for the ZTL and the garage will then note the vehicle’s number plate and forward it to the appropriate police headquarters.

This place is right in front of the copy of the Statue of David. Don't think about driving here yourself. We rented a car from Rome and delivered at Florence airport, then took a taxi. It is much easier and safer. The entire place has AC, which is a big bonus. The main room is large with a couch and a chair. There were 3 of us, so we had plenty of space. They have a lift to bring the luggage up and down. The down side is there are many people who take smoke breaks in front of the exit, so just hold your breath when you leave. It is also near most of the main attractions. The river is nearby also. Very beautiful sunrise near the river. We would not mind staying here again.

The property, location and cleanliness were excellent and could not be improved. Check-in and communication were also excellent.Areas for improvement:The power went off five times...two were during the night with no load.We were very careful to avoid overloading the 3kW maximum. Even so, we had power failures.The hot water heaters were apparently turned to max heat and we had to be very careful to avoid being scalded. This is an area where significant utility savings could be realized and safety improved simultaneously.We had an issue controlling the HVAC...and there is no documentation on site to help. I went online to try to learn and the only choice was to buy a manual.Even with these issues, we would return due to the positives.Terry

This apt is centrally located. Spotless, AC, 2br, 2bth, full kitchen and living room. 2nd floor, elevator, easy access. Great views, clean, easy check in/out. Loved this apt and will be back!!
