About this house rental

Welcome to Mandalay Road, a completely updated and private three-bedroom, three-bath stilt home that includes a bonus lower level entertainment/bedroom area. This vacation destination is located in a quiet mid-island neighborhood with beach access just a short walk down the street and a hop across Estero Boulevard, with a convenient outdoor shower for your return from the beach. There is also a neighborhood bay front park with a large tiki hut. Away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square, affording quiet relaxation for that desired relaxing getaway, is a 7-mile stretch of white sugar sand beach providing a place for daytime beach activities, and to view the endless variety of evening sunsets. In addition, one of the island's largest supermarkets and an upscale bistro on the bay are just a short car ride away. Trolley service along the boulevard is available to transport you to Times Square with all of its restaurants, clubs and night life, including the new Margaritaville Resort. This home is on a beautiful tropically landscaped lot. Amenities include central air conditioning, ceiling fans, complimentary WiFi, all linens and towels provided and private laundry room.

Upon arrival there is ample off-street parking in a circular driveway and two covered parking bays beneath the home. Entry is via stairs up to the front door and into the open plan kitchen, dining and living areas. Decor is beachy/nautical, and there is wood tile flooring throughout. The large kitchen has plenty of quartz countertops and cabinets with all the necessities for preparing full-course meals if so desired. Just bring the food! Appliances are all stainless-steel and include a 5-burner glass-top range with air fry and convection oven, built-in above-range microwave oven, and double door refrigerator with pull-out freezer drawer and ice-maker. There is a peninsular bar with pantry and farmhouse style sink with disposal, cabinets and dishwasher on the kitchen side and four padded bar seats on the living area side. The adjacent dining area has a buffet and a table seating four. This all flows nicely into the living area with vaulted ceiling. Furnishings include a queen-size sleeper-sofa, coffee table and two upholstered chairs with accent tables and lamp. There is a credenza above which is a large wall-mounted flat screen TV. Expansive sliding glass doors lead out to a screened in patio with ceiling fan, a table with four chairs on an area rug overlooking the side of the home, as well as two side chairs and a cocktail table.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed, night stands and lamps on an area rug, a corner upholstered swivel rocker and large floor to ceiling windows overlooking the side of the home with views of the back bay. There are his and her closets, as well as a wall-mounted flat screen TV. Just adjacent to the bedroom is a bathroom with quartz-top vanity with dual lavatories, wall mirrors, commode and a very nicely tiled walk-in shower with glass wall and glass door. Also in this hallway behind double doors is a stacked washer and dryer. The first guest bedroom has two single beds, night stand and lamp, and ample closet space. The adjacent hallway guest bathroom has a quartz-top vanity with dual lavatories, wall mirror, commode and a tiled walk-in shower with glass wall and glass door. The downstairs bonus area, the second guest room, has a queen-size sleeper-sofa, end table, side chair and coffee table, opposite which is a wall-mounted flat screen TV. The bathroom has a vanity, commode and a very large nicely tiled shower.

The stay went very well. Would recommend for any family. Beach is very close, and could be walked to if you wanted to.

Mandalay by the Bay was very nice. It was very clean with tasteful updated design. The showers were stellar! The temperature control was very responsive and quick. Excellent closet såace and a well equipped kitchen. The washer/dryer are convenient to the primary bedroom. Three ensuite rooms located well for privacy and quiet..Great views, super easy walk to the great beach. Wonderful screened porch to enjoy the warmth.Two luggage racks would have been very helpful.Only negatives are the significant fees ( 350 dollars for two people staying four days), and the fact that the check outmanager/inspector parked in front of the house to shadow our departure for 30 minutes before our appointed check out time which we thought was overbearing and unnecessary.We departed before 10am and he was practically driving in one end of the driveway as we drove out the other.
