About this house rental
The Hide is a beautiful holiday home in the heart of the conservation area. Behind the large wooden gates, this hidden gem is a detached modern house with every luxury you could ask for including a hot tub in the pretty walled garden, and a private driveway with parking for two cars. The interior design is tasteful, with gorgeous neutral coastal tones of greys, blues and greens, a fun and eclectic selection of artwork, stylish furniture, and modern appliances. The light and bright open plan living space comprises a modern kitchen with large island unit, a dining area and a sitting are with large sofas, as well as two sets of French doors which open out onto the garden. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms, one of which is ensuite. The Hide is perfectly positioned between Deal High Street with its artisan food shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants, and the lovely long seafront promenade and pier. For guests who prefer country walks and historic sites, there’s plenty of choice nearby, including both Deal and Walmer castles, and a fabulous coastal walk to Kingsdown and St Margaret’s Bay. Golfers are spoilt for choice with a number of championship golf courses.

Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.

A beautiful property that was elegantly furnished yet very comfortable.
The property supplied everything that you would need. The location was fantastic in the center of deal yet situated in a quiet road very close to the beach.
We definitely recommend this property to friends and family.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Hide. We were there in mid June and booked this location for a few reasons: 1) the hot tub, 2) the privacy, and 3) the enclosed garden which allowed us to bring along our Emma. Emma is our cat and loves being outside for sun napping and bird/bee/bug watching and we enjoy being able to relax and not worry about her getting out into a road or other dangerous situation. She had a wonderful time. We humans also had a wonderful time both out in the lovely small garden and also inside where there were books, puzzles, music, cooking, etc all to be enjoyed in a very tastefully presented living/kitchen area. We also loved the bedroom and bathroom decor and felt really at home. The only ways that the stay could have been improved were both related to sleeping: 1) the mattresses were a bit firm/springy and the bedding was a bit rough. And 2) we also struggled to sleep with the heat and so we rented a window air con unit for the stay. Otherwise, it was perfect. We appreciated the snacks left by the owner, the book of recommendations for nearby activities and restaurants and the overall care taken to ensure we had a pleasant holiday.

This classy cottage, beautifully presented, is the perfect base for exploring Deal, Sandwich and other areas on this coastline. We loved it and would happily recommend and return.

The location of the hide was great and it was a great house for sharing with friends. It should make it clear that only two small cars can park at the house as the turning into the house is so tight. The cleanliness and condition let it down for us and a more useful welcome pack would have made a better first impression.
