The Greek theatre is also the scene of a rich calendar of events, mainly in summer, when it is transformed into an open-air stage with music, theatre, and dance performances.Taormina also has a medieval heart, recognizable in the 17th-century church of San Pancrazio, which stands on the remains of a Greek temple, or in the characteristic Clock Tower.
