About this house rental
A 45 minute drive from Chicago. Also, two blocks from the Metro shuttle that goes to and from Midway Airport. The White House is in the heart of Manteno with a new park directly across the street with a splash pad and jumpy pillow. Numerous coffee shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance.

We loved this house! It was VERY clean, and had an unique charming feel as soon as you walked through the door. The back story of the house is fun to learn about. The host has a book showing the remodel as a family project. The quality of the property and amenities the hosts leave for renters, show the love these people have for the home. It is walking distance to several restaurants and a very nice park across the street for kids. One of our favorite stays, we would stay here again if in the area!

The property was AMAZING and felt so welcoming!! Every room was so comfortable! A great perk was that we walked everywhere and all of us had our own space! The park was so enjoyable too!!! It was absolutely the perfect home for us to rent. We will definitely be back!!!

Our family spent the weekend at “The White House” for my son’s college graduation. It was fantastic! Park across the street. Cute, nicely remodeled older home with so much character. We just wish we found this terrific home a few years ago. We would have stayed here every time we visited him. If we are ever in the area again in the future this will be our go to. Highly recommend it, you will love it!

We stayed here while visiting nearby family over Christmas time. The house was large enough for our family of 6 and there was a very nicely equipped kitchen. It was very close to several restaurants in the area. The park across the street was all decorated for Christmas as was the house and that was great! Because it was winter, the downstairs bathroom was cold and we wished it had a heater. The shower was very large in that bathroom and so we wanted to use that one for our special needs daughter who is unable to shower herself, but we felt it was too cold for that. The toilet seat heater was very nice though! The downstairs shower would be great during warmer months I am sure. Seemed like the yard was nice too but we did not take advantage as it was cold.
Check in and communication were superb! We loved it and would definitely stay again if in area.
