The location was great. The owners are nice and leave detailed instructions on how to access the room. We just needed a simple room to sleep in for the night and this met my expectations!

Overall, the experience was good! They were very responsive when we called or texted to ask questions. The place was also super nice. Even though you're living with the owners, it is private for the most part. I would recommend if you don't mind the 6 pm restriction. The location is also super good, and compared to other places, it was a decent price.
However, the time constraint was inconvenient; they told us that there was no self-check-in and that they had to let us in because it's their home. We just wanted to drop our bags off, but they told us to use a luggage storage. It was just inconvenient because the place said "they closed at 6:00 or 6:30" and would not tell us which one it was specifically. And then check-in was also at 6:00, so we had to hang around the area to make sure we could get our luggage before the place closed and check in. Then, when we finally could check in, it was a self-check-in where you take the key out of the lockbox and let yourself in ( like every other rental place ever). We never came in contact with the owners until I eventually had to seek them out for a specific concern, and so I felt that the 6 p.m. restriction was really unnecessary and was a huge damper on our trip because we had to manage the luggage, restrict where we went, and also deal with dying phones. I feel like if your trip is longer it may not have that big of an effect on your outlook since it only impacts the first day. Our trip was a weekend trip so the time restriction skewed our outlook on the place because it messed up one of the two days we were there. Would I book this place again? Probably not, I just prefer to have more of a say in where I leave my luggage and when and for a short trip I would rather pay the difference for a more expensive place if it means I get more out of my stay. However, for the price, I don't think it was bad, just frustrating that they kept making it seem like they had to be present for our arrival when that simply was not the case. Especially for a situation as simple as putting luggage down and leaving. I think they could be more flexible about that.
