    While Raya Heritage initially attracted me as a design hotel, the overall experience fell short of expectations. The property itself feels quite compact, with common areas offering limited views and little reason to linger outside the rooms. Its location presents a similar dilemma: it’s not secluded enough to serve as a true retreat, yet it isn’t conveniently close to the city’s vibrant dining scene—finding a quality restaurant open late within a reasonable distance proved challenging. Although breakfast was decent, with an extensive à la carte menu, the value simply didn’t align with the premium price. For a hotel positioned at this level, one expects more—both in atmosphere and overall offering.

    We had high expectations for Raya Heritage given the many glowing reviews online, but overall our experience felt only barely satisfactory. When we arrived on a rainy evening, there were no staff at the entrance to assist us, and we had to run into the lobby in the rain before anyone came to help with our luggage. On a positive note, the receptionist was extremely friendly and welcoming. She made our check-in and room tour pleasant with her warm personality and humor. During our stay, we tried the breakfast, afternoon tea, spa, and dinner. The spa masseurs were highly skilled, though the massage room itself was quite plain. Breakfast and afternoon tea were underwhelming, but dinner was excellent and enjoyable. One memorable moment of our trip was my boyfriend’s proposal. While we appreciated the privacy of the experience, we were a little surprised that the hotel did not provide any gesture to acknowledge such a special occasion. We understand that it’s not an obligation, but small touches like this can elevate a stay and make it more memorable, as we’ve experienced in other luxury hotels during anniversaries or birthdays. In summary, Raya Heritage is undoubtedly a beautiful property, but for us, the overall experience fell short of the rave reviews.
