I booked a 4 night stay in November and actually did not end up staying at the hotel because the cleanliness and smell was not appealing to me. My room was also very hot and the air conditioner was not controllable from the room. I was in my room for 5 minutes and decided to leave to another hotel. I am not a poicky person but this hotel was far below expectations, especially on Ponsoby Road. To further expand the issue, the management of the company did not return my money as I had prepaid for my visit, but they decided the right thing to do for there business was to keep my money instead of treating a dissatisfied customer fairly. They kept all of the money for my 4 night stay and will not return it. I would not stay here. Many other great options in Auckland for similar price.

The bathroom had some cracked tiles that trapped water every time I took a shower, and it ended up seeping into the carpet. The rooms weren’t soundproof either, so being right on the main road, you could hear a lot of noise from outside. That said, the staff were super helpful. --- Would you like me to make it sound a bit more friendly or keep this straightforward tone?

2-night staycation in a studio. The room was fine for the time we were there - small but had all the necessary facilities. Comfortable king bed, shower with great water pressure, fridge/freezer. The best thing about this hotel is the location. At the K rd end of Ponsonby road, you have all the dining options you need, shop till you drop, supermarket round the corner, amazing park across the road…the list goes on. Would definitely stay again for this reason alone.

The location is the only good thing about this stay. Property was under going painting inside. We werent told. The whole place smelt so bad of incense sticks, they are obviously trying to cover up the paint smell and the damp smell. Room was old, washing machine and dryer didn't work. Plug fittings falling off the wall. Just over all not happy with this stay

It was ok. Room is a bit tired (walls and furnishings are a bit bumped and bruised). My room also did not lock from the inside (which I forgot to report) Kitchenette was great, overall stay was ok for a night

Do not order the breakfast as it will be the worst $20 you ever spend, as it is a tray of odds and ends they leave in your fridge when you book in. The bread was stale, also I don’t tend to eat potato chips (also stale) and chocolate bars for breakfast. The towels had stains and the toilet was broken, which happens, but as another room could not be supplied we ended up fixing this ourselves.

I always stay at Quest Ponsonby when I travel to Auckland. Great to have a room with a kitchen and laundry facilities. Comfy bed and couch. Has a supermarket around the corner. Great location close to town.
