    This place could be so great. The fluffy towels, the clean sheets the decent pillows. But I paid extra money for a ‘city view’ room. What this meant in reality (I was in room 107) is that I looked out onto a concrete wall that was inbetween my room and the road. ‘City view’ is a very imaginative interpretation of what I got. But the real issue is the noise. I discovered at 2am that KL has a late night illegal street racing scene and that the starting point for the racing is directly outside the hotel. This typically runs on a weekend from about 1am-7am and it is loud. Think cars and motorcycles backfiring, revving, racing off. It is truely impossible to sleep through and the earplugs that the hotel provides on request don’t do anything to mask the avalanche of sound. I ended up moving rooms at 4am and the staff were great in accommodating me, but then as I was checking out and I relayed this to morning team they could not have cared less. Their response was “oh yeah we don’t have any control over that”. My thought is that whilst the hotel can’t control what happens on the street they can control what happens in the hotel. Ie don’t book people in those front facing rooms on a Friday or Saturday night. Or explicitly warn customers before they book or at time of booking. Spend the money to double glaze the windows. It sucks because the concept and the vibe is great outside of this massive flaw.

    Really nice location can choose between the LRT or Monorail and it is connected via a overhead bridge Walking distance to a mall and nice cafes in the chow kit neighborhood Only downside is not a lot of convenience stores nearby

    I have to close my toilet during my entire stay because the sewage smell is so strong. Everything else is alright, just slightly dusty.
