Nice family style staff. 24 hour coffee. Best to enter from 23 North than 46 East.

It is not a 5 star hotel, but the room was very clean and neat. I stayed one night with my partner.

I want to say that the staff at Essence was friendly and helpful. The property leaves much to be desired though. The bathroom sink had a 2x6 board as an apron from the vanity instead of matching the counter. The bathroom door was old and had holes. There was almost no water pressure in the shower and the grout was mildewed. Ironically the sign out front advertises renovated rooms.
The location was the worst though. Coming off of US 46 you can’t see the hotel but you have to cross 3 lanes in less than 20 yards which is almost impossible during the day so you have to figure out how to get around this very busy interchange.
