    I stayed at the Garner Hotel for a week. I took a King Suite deal. My first assigned room was neat and as described. However, the room had a wet, musty smell (like the hotel overall) that I couldn't stay in with my allergies. I was offered a second room on the floor above which was acceptable. They made the bed daily. It was just me so not much mess to clean up. The bathroom sink was stoppered up so it wouldn't drain and the toilet seat was cracked. Also, not ADA compliant. Low toilet and shower is a step up and into. There's no grab bars when the soap gets slippery around your feet. I was a caregiver for many years so these things stand out to me. Breakfast was a nice setup on the 2nd floor. Clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. They did NOT wear gloves when cleaning up or stocking foods. But food was fresh, pretty much the same offerings daily. Eggs, breads, muffins, coffee, juices, ceareals, yogurt, fruit. Something for everybody. There's also a snack shop by the front desk for chips and cold drinks for purchase. I guess my main complaint is that this hotel has a water issue that you can smell in the elevator, the stairwell and the rooms. The renovation was done well but the musty water smell is a turn off. There is no pool and no on-site restaurant. I didn't have a chance to check out the exercise room. I would give it a 3 stars out of 5. Again, staff were friendly, helpful and kind. Thank you. Jc
